Delete your Hujra account
You can delete your account at any time. It is deleted 7 days after you ask. If you sign in during those 7 days, you can cancel.
In the app
- Open Hujra and tap Profile.
- Under Account, tap Delete my account.
- Read what will happen, tick the box, and tap Delete my account.
On the website, without the app
Sign in with your mobile number, then use the Delete my account button on your account page.
If you cannot sign in, email privacy@hujra.app from the email on your account, or tell us the mobile number on your account and we will check it is yours before deleting it.
What is deleted
- Your name, phone number, email, photo, date of birth, gender, about and languages.
- Your Google or Apple sign-in link and the phones you signed in on.
- Your private uploads, such as certificates and letters, your job applications and CVs.
- Your class chat messages, notifications, habits, bookmarks, reading progress, quiz answers and class requests.
- The children's accounts you manage, unless another guardian also manages that child.
What you choose
Articles, khutbas and library books you published are either deleted, or kept under the name “Former member”. You choose when you ask.
What stays, without your name
- Records that belong to other people, such as a teacher's attendance and lesson records, homework results, reviews and reports. They show “Former member”.
- Announcements, page changes and prayer times you made for a mosque or madrasa. They belong to the mosque.
- Job posts you made are closed.
If you teach, your open classes are cancelled and your students are told. Your mosque or madrasa roles end, and the mosque team is told.
